The Stirling Aircraft Project aims to remedy this by constructing a forward fuselage section incorporating the main crew stations as a lasting tribute to the people who designed, built, flew and maintained this historic aircraft.

The foundation has been established to support and to obtain funds for the recovery of an RAF Short Stirling that crashed in the community of Echt- Susteren, including any human remains which may still be in the wreckage, and to investigate and carry out all research necessary to document and commemorate this event as thoroughly as possible.
